”Dance Expression Vol.5 has been held on march the 16th at Shibuya O-East. More than 20 groups and couples, professionals and amateurs were performing for a uge public. We will remember of course the amazing show of Beto and 10 year-old Marina dancing colombian salsa and the surprising “last dance” of Alberto & Mika who showed up on the stage after 3 hours performances. It was a high-quality new choregraphy they had prepared, a mix of Bolero, Chachacha, Son, Rumba and Salsa. Hard to believe this could be their last dance…”

Alberto Romay came to Japan in 1995, After 10 years turned into the number 1 Salsa Dance Instructor for his grates high quality works artistic and professionalism, shared stages with famous artists and bands like: The Orchestra de la Luz, DLG, Issac Delgado, Charanga Habanera, Josie Neglia, Narciso Medina, Smap, Aya Sugimoto, Marusia, Tokyo Cuban Boy, Jaila Mompier, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Tangin Fong Matos, Janette Valenzuela, and many others.
He is the first Cuban taking part in the Salsa Congress in Los Angeles in 2001, he created a new style of dance called Salsa Tap, he participated in many programs and TV/radio commercials of television, he got recognition in the Japan salsa congress in 2005 for his works in Japan, delivered by Albert Torres, organizer of many congresses in the world.
Many teachers of nowadays who have gone so far to reach a name in the salsa world in Japan in one way or another pass for his hands. His last work is the creation of 6 DVD called “Perfect Salsa”

1965年8月15日、キューバ、ハバナ生まれ。クラシック、モダンダンスを学ぶ。1985年、プロダンサー、振付家としての活動を開始。1992年、「ノーチェ・トロピカーナ」公演で初来日。1994年、キューバ国立民族舞踊団に入団。村上龍監督の映画「KYOKO」に出演。1995年より日本での活動を開始。ダンサー、振付家としてSMAPのミュージッククリップをはじめ数々のイベント、テレビ番組に参加。2000年、キューバン・カルチャー・オーガナイゼーション設立。ジャパン・サルサ・コングレス出場。2001年、ロサンジェルス・サルサ・コングレス「CCOJチーム」チームディレクター、振付、講師として出場。
